My friend Trena was telling me how much she likes to borrow e-books from our local library. I wondered if they also had audio books available to borrow electronically. Lo and behold they do. Wow! What a great concept! There's a built-in timer so your download is only valid for the loan period. I tried it for the first time the other day. Other than having to turn the volume up very high so that I could hear over the noise of my sewing machine, it was perfect! So now I get to listen to books while I'm busy in the studio. If you haven't done so before, find out whether your local library offers this function as well.
I managed to sew the strips together for the baby quilt. Still not as quick as I'd like but it'll get done soon enough. Later this afternoon I'll listen while I press open all those seams.

Audio books are fantastic-we use them on long trips up to the mountains from Florida. The time just flies!

I've listened to audiobooks and someone told me the library has ones you can borrow electronically, but I haven't tried those yet. Sounds like I should!

If you transfer the books to your MP3 player then the time limit doesn't apply :) I love having books to listen to but I found that when I work in the studio I tend to have to rewind because I've lost focus on the book . and moved it to my project!

I love to listen to audiobooks, it is so relaxing, I can spend my day finishing a 6 hour audiobook.
