Sometimes I wonder whether I have Craft ADD. I go from project to project at the drop of a hat - sometimes I even finish them but often it gets left behind while my attention flits away to the next shiny fun task. There's the gazillion bags of doll parts/fabric that's awaiting me - no, really, there are a gazillion of them, I counted! Most are hidden in the fancy boxes, but I know they're there - taunting me, telling me that I've abandoned them.
There's the knit hat that I'm trying to make but I'm only half way through. It was left in a bag for months before I picked it up again last week and knit a few rows. Knitting is still such an awkward thing for me to do that a few rows is all I can do before I get bored, tired, frustrated with it. Then it's off to the next thing.
What's that? Oh I have some quilting that is ready to go on the cutting table. String blocks, pieces for my quilting bee's auction project, an old top that just needs a border and then quilting.
In the midst of it all there's the mess from days of concentrated creating. I spilled the container of red sparkly beads on the floor. So far I've only rescued half of them. It's time to clean up and calm down - take stock of the situation and get to one of the above mentioned projects. Time to finish! Do you have Craft ADD too?

That is exactly how I am too! One more thing that is common between the two of us :-).

yes, yes! It looks like the knit hat is almost done -- a good project to have in hand while watching the Olympics. And what are your plans for the red tophat? Inquiring minds...

Oh yeah, craft ADD - I have it, in spades! We won't count exactly how many projects I have on the go, nor will we count the ones I've abandoned for something shinier, more interesting, more fun. Oh yeah, and we also won't mention how many books I'm currently reading! No, we won't go there!!

You just have a wonderful diversity of interests!

Is is contagious? I really could use a dose of Craft ADD. I read that we like to start projects because it is exciting. Hmmm. I find it more rewarding to finish them. LOL Keep creating...

Wow! This is my first visit to your blog and it's wonderful. I can't wait to explore it a bit more. Your dolls are fantastic. I'm a little bit ADD myself but I'm trying to get some self control down this year and finish things up! I prefer, like Cheri, to view it as a diversity of interests ;-). I followed you over from a comment at BoogaJ's blog. www.boogaj.com/knitting.

Tami, I think I have the disease too...craft ADD. I don't think there is a cure, it's terminal. You do make lovely things and I am sure you brain is coming up with ideas faster than you can finish them! Steph

Yep, I have it too ;-} I think I'll have to live to be about 400 so I can finish them all!
