I've been rushing around getting all the supplies for my Jill Schumacher class when I realized that the last day of her class will be spent on your own quilt. Oops! I didn't have a quilt top ready to go, at least not one that I wanted to spend a long time quilting. So last night I quickly started to cut out and sew. This morning I sewed a bit more and this is all that I have so far. Wish me luck on getting this finished in time for tomorrow afternoon. If all goes well it'll be an Ohio Star quilt wall-hanging. I wanted to do something a bit more complex but realized that this would be quicker to piece. Maybe if I have time I'll make a row of hourglass blocks for the border.
Aren't the colors subtle and soothing? They're not my usual picks but I couldn't resist this fat quarter bundle of mostly Lecien fabrics at a quilt shop in Cheyenne.

Oh, NO !!!!
Your choice of a less complex pattern as your quilt top is a wise move.
And the neutral-ness will not compete with your quilting at all
Lots of Luck,
enjoy your class time
hugs
p.s. we rec'd another 6.5" of wet snow. Looks like it may stick around for several days. But all the streets are dry. We have a terrific street/road dept here

Gee, Tami -- I could have "loaned" you a quilt top, if I'd known! I always have a stack of things that need to be quilted...
