Last night I was auditioning fabrics for the 1st border. At first I wanted hourglass blocks for the centers but then quickly decided upon flying geese blocks. I'm so glad that I went with that because it added a secondary square to my design. Sadly I'm out of time to sew on the second border but I can do that at the Empty Spools seminar. It's only the last day that we work on our own quilt tops.
The last border will be half the width of the plain blocks to give room for quilting. I wonder what the design will end up looking like? I'm pretty excited about it and hope to give a good report on it next week. Have a good weekend everyone!

How nice! Simple but effective. My mom would say "great for quilting."

Love this! Isn't it amazing how four little triangles in the border make such a difference?
