After I was rested from my week to Asilomar and then a quick drive to LA for the weekend, I began to pack up my studio. I bought six 22 gallon turquoise latch top rubbermaid containers for transporting my California studio to my Wyoming studio. Can you believe that it only took one of them to contain all of my quilting cottons? I guess since I tend to make small quilts and dolls that I only buy fat quarters and rarely get yardage of anything unless it's for a specific project. A second container houses all of my fancy fabrics for doll-making. A third one is for threads, sewing machine accessories & notions plus about a third of my reference library. Finally a fourth one is for ribbons, beads, trims etc. I have yet to gather my patterns or UFOs. The sewing machine and embroidery module have their own special luggage and will fit in between seats or something. I may just get away with only five of these containers. What about you? If you had a week to pack up your studio how many containers could you get away with?
I've left a little space in the back for the dog crates (it's much easier to get them in and out of the car from the back gate). Thank goodness we found a type of car that has removable seats. Gotta love good quality used cars.

Oh my - even though we live in an apartment and my 'studio' has to share space with the computer and a pull out couch, I would hate to think how many totes I would need. The books alone would fill at least three!!

Oh, my :-0
You certainly must be waaaay more organized than I could ever hope to me, Tami.
IF I had to pack up, I for sure decide what is most important. Hmmm, perhaps I could sort through even if I'm not moving, hmmmmmmmm

You are an organized person. I am so impressed. I would probably just stuff whatever into each bin. I think I would have about four bins. I am new to crafting so I have fewer things. I do have a lot of fabric because I like to sew and I am sure that would take up some space. Good luck with your ne adventure!
