Yesterday as I was driving home I had a little tire mishap ... it exploded while I was on the interstate! Fortunately the damage occurred on the inner side of the tire not the outer otherwise I would have had a bit of crazy driving. As it was, I just noticed a loud noise and that my car seemed to be rumbling. I pulled over to the shoulder and put on the hazards. Luckily it was the right rear tire so I could stand next to it without having cars go by too closely. I tried putting some fix-a-flat in it so that I could creep the mile to the off-ramp and the gas station. Hmm, that didn't seem to work very well. This is why - here's the tire after the nice AAA guy came out to change it for the donut:
Now I have four brand new sparkling tires on the car and it's so much happier. I am too!
