Just had to take a quick break from the freelance work (I've been stuck on trying to color match two swatches of fabric - I'm close, but not quite there yet) and post some of the black & white fabrics I had in my stash. When I start a new project I like to lay out all different possibilities and let them percolate for a while. These are by no means the final selection, just a starting point. I like the concept of layering fabrics like the pale aqua under the off-white sheer chiffon with daisies. I'm not sure if this is the color to go with, but it looks pretty, don't you think? And those are just a few of the buttons from my new button collection. They'll be chosen last, once the main fabrics and the contrast color are finalized. Let the fun begin!
Oh, and the talented Kathy of Pink Chalk Studio is my other backtack partner. I'll be the fortunate recipient of one of her creations. I can't wait to get started, but I have to finish my work first - deadline is 6pm on Friday (you know, cut-off time for FedEx boxes.)
