Shash over at Mecozy had a wonderful idea of sharing colors for each day of the week. I didn't see it in time to post yellow for yesterday (too bad, since a lot of my house is yellow.) But I did get to snap a few pics for blue tuesday. Which, since it's raining yet again is appropriate.
Here's a Radical Rachel doll (Patti Culea design) that I made last year. I had made a yellow/green one for my niece. A lady saw it while she was on vacation and wanted one for her daughter so she commissioned this one. Unfortunately since I was new to the entire custom work concept, I didn't require a deposit. I was so eager that I sewed this up before I got the final okay from the lady and never heard back from her again. But that's okay, she's cute and fits perfectly in this little chair. She sits in the corner on my desk usually and keeps me company.
She's ready for her closeup Mr. DeMille!
This is our entryway. The art is our ketubah (wedding certificate), the table was handcrafted by my Great-Uncle Carl in North Carolina, the sculpture is the menorah that I received as part of an art exchange (two little dolls for the artist's granddaughters), and the vase is just a very fortunate find from Marshall's.
And finally, a blue ceramic planter that my grandparents gave to us as a wedding gift. I need to find a good plant to put in it ... but I'm not sure that I can really keep something alive indoors. Maybe a silk plant instead?
