Although it was wet and muddy at Alden Nursery, my friend Amber and I braved the overcast skies to see the quilts at the 10th Annual Quilting in the Garden. Wow, this nursery is huge and so charming with all the beautiful oak trees. The quilts were displayed indoors in a variety of buildings so we didn't get to experience them in the sun. But we had a great time wandering in the garden area. I took a few pics of quilts that I'll post later once I look at the quilter's names. (I like to be able to post the title and the artist whenever possible.) But here's a few pictures of the garden in the meantime:
I looooove these free-standing doors. What a great way to add a punch of color to a garden! Did you notice the free-standing windows - complete with white shutters and flower boxes?! And I'm just a sucker for anything mosaic ... great colors on this pedestal. If you click on the first picture, you'll be able to see the swings that they have hanging on the great big oak. The only thing is that you'd have to be on stilts to be able to get to them. :-)
