I have a fondness for a certain shade of pink. No, not that pale delicate pink that's the ultimate in dainty femininity. I prefer hot pink or fuchsia! It's so vibrant and happy. How could you not smile everyday that you looked in the mirror? That's why there was no question about hair color for this little rag doll that I made for my Secret Pal back in December. Remember the picture here? No one really guessed that this was the doll that I had made.
She's from a Barbara Willis pattern called Anny & Polly. I didn't get around to making the little shoes for her even though I have a little piece of hot pink leather that's just begging to be used for that purpose. I guess that I should make them before the next doll club meeting. I'm not sure who's stripe fabric I used for her legs. It could be one of Kaffe Fassett's but I'm not entirely sure. Stripes are THE best fabric for doll legs. Polka dots come a close second. And if your mood ever needs a bit of a lift, try your hair in pink!
