Lots of behind the scenes crafting going on here. I decided that I didn't like the skirt on the Wendy Froud fairy doll so I ripped it off and have started anew. (no pictures yet) I need to go to the post office to mail off the quilt flimsy for the Spring Fling Round Robin 3. Oh, and a few weekends ago, while visiting family in LA, my mom gave me quite a few treasures:
Mini wire dressforms for my studio - they'll probably get a coating of new paint, not sure yet what colors:
Hmm, I see something in the lantana bush.
Oh, it's these little cuties:
My mom found eight of these little porcelain dolls for me to transform. They all have the same sweet face. This one's patchwork print dress reminds me of my Holly Hobbie dress when I was a little girl:
Miscellaneous strips for piecing:
My friends and I have challenged each other to make a doll to enter the 2009 Hoffman fabric challenge. We have the fabric, now it's just time for the creative part - what to make? In between all of that I'm packing for another race weekend. We bought a used RV a month ago so now it's much more comfortable at the race track. You know, we do have a generator so I should bring the doll parts and start sewing in between race sessions.
How are you getting ready for the summer?
