This morning I went out to the backyard and saw these two little surprises in the lemon tree! They wanted to say a quick hello before they went scampering off to live with my little friends Miss L & Miss J. Wasn't that sweet of them?!
They didn't tell me their names because they're waiting to get them from Miss L & Miss J. Here's Miss J's lovely pink doll:

They were both made from Deanna Hogan's Averill doll pattern using the trapunto face option. I used colored pencils and micron pens on their faces. The hair is a rectangle that's knit from Fun Fur that's often found at Michael's craft stores. Fortunately the girls really seemed to like them. I think that this is probably the last doll for Miss L as she's getting older. Perhaps next time she'd like some sort of book bag or purse? Anyway I'm glad that these two UFOs are complete. Now I have to clean the mess that is my studio so that I can get to the next UFO.
