Now that my doll quilt is at its new home (well received and already hung up on the wall!) I can turn my attention to other projects. First on the agenda is to work on these little machine embroidered lace top hats. The first bright orange one is almost sewn together then will need embellishments and a barrette. The darker orange one is stitched out but needs to have the dissolvable stabilizer removed. When they're finished, hopefully they'll look like this over at Urban Threads which is where I got the design. Isn't it the cutest thing ever?! I'm making a total of 6 of them - all in different colors. Four are for my doll making friends and I to wear at doll club. The other two are for two special little girls - but I think that I'll attach theirs to headbands instead of barrettes.
I already have a few feathers and ribbons for the hats. I expect that we'll look a bit silly but it'll all be fun.
