Okay I finished her yesterday and then did the first baking. Today I did the second baking and that part is done. I'll wait until she's cooled down and then add some paint accents. She's not perfect (in fact Steve keeps teasing me that she looks like Qaddafi with that hair do and hat) but I'm just happy to have finished sculpting her. She'll look better once she's had a bit of paint and a nice place to hang around.
I didn't want her to wilt in the oven so I improvised some supports - a glass, some wooden spools and wool batting. Of course now she has a few pieces of fuzz on her that I'll have to remove but she didn't droop at all.
