I've been slowly adding more details to my EJ Taylor class doll. So far I've added a bit more oil paint, deepened his blush and eyes. Then once the oil paint had dried for a week I went back and added details to his eyes with colored pencils. Now I'm slowly adding layers of paperclay to build out his chest. So far I've used 3 1/2 small packages of Creative Paperclay on him. Not sure if I'll need to go to a fifth one or not.
And more paperclay chest (because every guy should have a broader chest):
Of course looking at all these pictures I realize that I didn't make his neck wide enough. That's okay since I plan on having him dressed in a high collar... that'll add the necessary bulk.
I can't begin to tell you how much fun I'm having with this technique. It's so very satisfying to get your fingers messy with paperclay and just add bits to the figure.
Now sometimes bad things happen... such as dropping one of the ProSculpt arms and having a wrist snap off. Oops!
Thank goodness none of the fingers broke or I'd just have to start from scratch. So how's your 11-11-11 day going?
