LtoR: Green girl, Purple boy, Pink/Red girl, White girl
Yes, one of these beautiful little puppies will soon be coming home to us. Fearghus is going to get a sister soon. This weekend we're going to see them and rate the girls 1 to 3 in order of preference. How in the world can you rate such darlings? The little boy is cute too but we'd like to have a female. They'll be six weeks old Sunday and are still too young to leave their mother so we won't be able to bring her home with us until the first week of August. We'll know by mid July which girl will be ours. In the meantime we get to play with puppies!
Just like Fearghus they are cairn terriers. They share the same grandsire as Fearghus so technically they'll be cousins. They're much darker than Fearghus was as a pup so we're thinking that Fearghus and Fiona (that's what her name will be) will look like chocolate and peanut butter. Cairns, especially if they're brindle as Fearghus and the pups are, tend to change colors. Apparently Fearghus is expected to darken into a deep silver grey in a few more years. Clairol has nothing on these dogs!
