I'm currently involved in two different round robins. The first one, Cotton Round Robin is a secret one so I can't reveal my center block nor what I'm doing for the borders. I will be able to reveal that one once it's over and everyone has received their quilts in June. But I also started a small round robin with two of my doll maker friends. I was at a lost as to what to do for my center block when I realized that I kept wanting a block that I had made for another round robin from a peacock pattern that I designed in 2009. But in that one you didn't get to keep your center block and received a quilt that was completely made by four other quilters. I pulled out a variety of teals, greens and turquoises and went to town. It's all freezer paper method applique except for the eye and mini feather plumes details which are raw edge applique with a little hand embroidery. I can't wait to see what my friends will add to this block. In the meantime I have two different round robin parts that need borders added.
